Fisherman Wrap Shorts for Kids TUTORIAL

Another hot Chicagoland summer is quickly approaching and, unlike her mommy, The Robug will want to spend as much time outside as possible. However, the inevitable complaints about the heat and having to wear clothes outside ("But moooooooomy, is too hot for cwose!  I wanna pway outside nakies; I'n not wearing anyfwing") always drive me to create age-appropriate, minimalist clothes I can force bribe get The Robug to actually wear and keep on.  Add to that my addiction to Crackterest Pinterest's ceaseless supply of project inspiration, and you end up with something like these shorts.

Throwback to the 80's Outfit

I'm kinda back! Liam is finally getting on to some sort of schedule, so I'm hoping to be able to post at least once a week. I'm going to get caught up on some older pieces that never got posted, and this is the first of those: This is an outfit I designed and stitched up for The Robug during Elsie Marley's KCWC last fall, lol.  Needless to say, I've been remiss in getting pictures and writing posts (I have good reasons :).  I wasn't ever really able to get any good photos, but these give you the idea.

End of the Third Trimester Rant--Dedicated to those of you with crappy pregnancies

It's been QUITE a while since I have blogged, and I wish my excuse was better than being pregnant because, quite honestly, I'm sick of that being my explanation for everything.  I know, I know, at 35 weeks most EVERY woman is saying she is DONE.  Well, I'm REALLY DONE.  Like, I already have permanent birth control methods picked out to discuss with my doctor...my husband and I are POSITIVE we NEVER want me to be preggers again...I'm counting down the days...the excitement has worn off...I just want to get to labor and delivery.  (I'm one of those weirdos that is not scared or bothered by labor and delivery--on the contrary, I can't WAIT for that part.)

Pause for Reflection

After waking up this morning and being thrown off by a change of plans, I decided to be productive and clean the house.  I let The Robug indulge in various TV shows and kept myself busy so I didn't have to be bothered by the annoying voice of Goofy and inane chatter of Elmo.  How quickly my attitude was put in check today.
